No! You must fill out, sign, and mail your application to your County Registrar.

How To Get an Informal Online Voting Registration Application

*You must have access to printer & postage*

Estimated time: 5-10 days to registration

1. Go to the online voter registration application on the Secretary of State's website.

2.. Fill it out (go to Filling Out the Application to learn how). The 'Print' button is confusingly labeled 'Submit'

3. Print it & mail it to your county registrar! It must be POSTMARKED October 10th at the latest.

4. You can also drop the application off in person at your county registrars office, addresses in the link below.

*Your postage must be marked at least 30 days before election day.*

How To Get an Application

Online

*Printer required* You can fill in an online application, but you cannot submit it or register yourself purely online. You must print this app once you've completed filling it out, and mail it to your registrar.

*Only mail it if the application will be POSTMARKED  October 10th (the day your letter is picked up by the mailman) at the latest.

U.S. Mail

No printer needed: Get an application sent to your home or office. Fill it in. Send it back. No postage required.

This one may take a little more time than others, so always start early.

Deadline: September 23rd.

 

In-Person

No printer needed: Pick up an application in person at any local post office, public library, Department of Public Safety (DPS), or Health and Human Services (HHS) building. You may need a stamp to send it in, however. Or you can drop it off.

 

How to Get Your Voters Registration Application Mailed to You                                         (no postage necessary)

*Must be completed and mailed back at least 30 days before Election Day. DO NOT ATTEMPT AFTER SEPTEMBER 27th*

Estimated time: 14-18 days to register

  1. Go to www.VoteTexas.gov and click the Register to Vote tab at the top of the page.
  2. Click "Get your application here." at the end of the first paragraph.
  3. Scroll down to "Other Voter Registration Application Methods" and click the link for a "postage-paid application from your voter registrar"
  4. Select the number of applications you'd like sent to you and fill in your complete address.
  5. Wait 5-10 business days. Look for a letter labeled "Business Reply Mail" (pictured right)
  6. Once you fill it out simply stick it back in the mailbox! The address is already printed & no postage is required.
